Off the Beaten Path 

Some of my favorite destinations throughout my travels have been the trips that I was initially the most nervous for believe it or not! The Amazon Rainforest, for example, where I spent a week on a small steamboat cruising down the Amazon River with no air conditioning or hot water on board. I was insanely anxious before the trip, but those nerves quickly turned into excitement once I was actually on board! I got to hike through the rainforest with a local guide and his family, and now I can’t wait to go back someday! Moral of the story – try new things, don’t count something out just because it may be a little different.
